經文: 「原來牲畜的血，被大祭司帶入聖所作贖罪祭，牲畜的身子，被燒在營外。所以耶穌，要用自己的血叫百姓成聖，也就在城門外受苦。這樣，我們也當出到營外就了祂去，忍受祂所受的凌辱。」— [聖經·希伯來書 13章11-13節]
作為贖罪祭的血被帶到聖所，獻為燔祭的牲屍則燒於營外；耶穌也是如此，祂的血獻於天父面前，而祂的身體則當作可咒詛的肉體被棄置於營外。
希伯來書十章19節寫道：「既因耶穌的血，得以坦然進入至聖所。」當我越清楚明白靠著耶穌的寶血，得以坦然無懼地進到施恩寶座前，就越發珍惜這恩典，充滿無限感恩喜樂。當我越清楚明白耶穌為償罪債，為我們受了多大的羞辱與痛苦，我就越心甘樂意地願意背起自己的十字架，在祂的苦難上有份，願出到營外忍受祂所受的凌辱。
許多基督徒，聽到能坦然無懼來到施恩寶座前向祂求告，就滿得安慰，但卻少有受苦的心志，肯在耶穌的苦難上有份，或願與世界有別，走成聖的道路。基督徒一方面以信心的禱告進到聖所，一方面又覺得只要不犯大錯，繼續享受世界所提供的快樂，有何不可？然而經上說：「豈不知與世俗為友，就是與上帝為敵麼？」(雅各書 4章4節錄)，「不要愛世界，和世界上的事。人若愛世界，愛父的心就不在他裡面了。」(約翰一書 2章15節)，所以「不要認同這世界的潮流」。
「追隨耶穌」意謂著不妥協、不跟隨世界的潮流，而在世人面前作見證，為要贏得人的靈魂。作耶穌的門徒，意謂著學習耶穌十架的愛，肯捨己犧牲，為得著人的靈魂以榮耀天父。
「慈愛的救主，求祢教導我明白何謂出到營外並忍受羞辱，為見證祢救贖的大愛，贏得人心歸向祢。親愛的主，求祢將祢的聖靈和愛充滿在我心中，也求祢讓我肯不計代價，為那些祢已為其捨命，且命定要被拯救的人辛苦劬勞，將他們的心從世界奪回歸向祢。奉主耶穌聖名，阿們。」

『 Without The Gate 』
Scripture: “The bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the Holy Place, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach.” — [Hebrews 13:11-13]
The blood of the sin offering was brought into the Holy Place; the body of the sacrifice was burnt without the camp. Even so with Christ, His blood was presented to the Father; but His body was cast out as an accursed thing, without the camp.
And so we read in Hebrews 10:19 :”Let us enter into the Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.” And in our text: “Let us go forth unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach.” The deeper my insight is into the boldness which His blood gives me in God’s presence, so much greater will be the joy with which I enter the Holy Place. And the deeper my insight is into the shame of the cross which He on my behalf bore without the camp, the more willing shall I be, in the fellowship of His cross, to follow Him without the camp, bearing His reproach.
There are many Christians who love to hear of the boldness with which we can enter into the Holy Place through His blood, who yet have little desire for the fellowship of His reproach, and are unwilling to separate themselves from the world with the same boldness with which they think to enter the sanctuary. The Christian suffers inconceivable loss when he thinks of entering into the Holy Place in faith and prayer, and then feels himself free to enjoy the friendship of the world, so long as he does nothing actually sinful. But the Word of God has said: “Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity against God?” “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world; if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” “Be not conformed to this world.”
To be a follower of Christ implies a heart given up to testify for Christ in the midst of the world, if by any means some may be won. To be a follower of Christ means to be like Him in His love of the cross, and His will to sacrifice self that the Father may be glorified, and that men may be saved.
Blessed Saviour, teach me what it means that I am called to follow Thee without the camp, bearing Thy reproach, and so to bear witness to Thy holy redeeming love, as it embraces the men who are in the world to win them back to the Father. Blessed Lord, let the spirit and the love that was in Thee be in me too, that I may at any cost seek to win the souls for whom Thou hast died.
