經文: 「你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。」— 聖經·約翰福音 14章15節
在約翰福音中，主耶穌基督六次說道：愛祂就是遵行祂的旨意。「你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。」(約翰福音 十四15)；「有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的。」(約翰福音 十四21a)；「人若愛我，就必遵守我的道，我父也必愛他。」(約翰福音 十四23)；「你們若遵守我的命令，就常在我的愛裡。」(約翰福音 十五10a)；「你們若常在我裡面，我的話也常在你們裡面。」(約翰福音 十五7a)；「你們若遵行我所吩咐的，就是我的朋友了。」(約翰福音 十五14)
這些經文光讀一遍是不夠的，要花時間默想其中的真意，並應用上帝的應許，那麼你將會明白那愛主之人的生活，會是如何的蒙福，那遵守祂旨意的，將住在祂愛裡面。
請仔細思想十四章23節的經文：耶穌回答說：「人若愛我，就必遵守我的道；我父也必愛他，並且我們要到他那裡去，與他同住。」天父與祂兒子要住在那愛祂又遵守祂命令的人心中。就如同保羅所說：因著耶穌住在我們心中，我們可以愛弟兄如同祂愛我們一樣。
保羅對所有的基督徒說：「你們總要自己省察有信心沒有，也要自己試驗。豈不知道你們若不是可棄絕的，就有耶穌基督在你們心裡嗎？」(哥林多後書 十三5) 很多基督徒不明白這點，也不知道耶穌基督對他們的愛。
若你能藉著聖靈強化你的信心，耶穌基督就能因信住在你心中，你也住在祂的愛中。上帝的愛也很自然運行在你心中，你將學會如何去愛祂，就像耶穌愛我們一樣。
親愛的弟兄姐妹們，因著耶穌愛我們，我們就住在祂的愛裡，我們也要遵行祂的道。當你越明白上帝對我們犧牲的大愛，也就越願意在各樣的事上完全順服祂的旨意。

『 Our Love to Christ 』
Scripture: “If ye love Me, ye will keep My commandments.” — John 14:15
In the Gospel of St. John, our Lord Jesus Christ speaks six times of our love to Him consisting in the doing of His will. “If ye love Me, ye will keep My commandments.” (14:15) “He that hath My commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me.” (24:21a) “If a man love Me, he will keep My word.” (14:23) “If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love.” (15:10a) “If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you.” (15:7a) “Ye are My friends if ye do the things I command you.” (15:14)
It is not enough to read these words once. Take your Bible, and go over them carefully, and notice how in each verse there is a wonderful promise. Then you will realize the blessedness of the life of the one who loves Christ, keeps His commandments, and abides in His love.
Notice the striking promise in verse twenty-three of this chapter. “If a man love Me, he will keep My word: and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” The Father and the Son dwell in the hearts of those who love Jesus and keep His commandments. Such can say with St. Paul, “Christ lives in me,” and will love the brethren and all around them with the love wherewith God loved His Son.
St. Paul says to all Christians: “Know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?” (2 Corinthians 13:5) Many Christians do not realize this, or the love Christ has for them. If we are strengthened through the Holy Spirit, Christ will dwell in our hearts by faith, and we shall be rooted and grounded in love. Then it will be quite natural for the love of God to work within in divine power, and we shall learn to love Him, even as He loved us, in the love of the Father.
Dear Christian, as Christ loved you, and you abide in His love, you will be enabled to keep His commandments. The measure of His sacrifice for you will be the measure of your willing surrender to Him in all things.
